Try small frogs, years ago they caught barbel on frog lures, I know you think Im kidding but they did,also silk weed on the hook, but your best bet are worms.

I know that caddis fly larvea are rated in the Czech Republic and oddly enough I have been looking through some olg german fishing magazines that features rubber frog and worms for barbel.Cheers Andy

Guy, i am struggling to find any small frogs that are willing to be impaled. They keep saying "Non" and are difficult to prise from their renaults.

I have caught on lobs, watersnails, crayfish, minnows and organic cheese. The first four you have to work for, but the last you can get at Sainsburys. I kid you not re. all of them.

Wasp grubs are great for chub and should be good for other species too. Lovely big fat white lava. You can even use the cake. Silk

never ever heard of anyone collecting wasp grubs who havent been stung.smoke em out, phooey they still have you. hate the things meself best of luck to anyone brave/daft enough to get them tught lines...

Elderberry' hair rig a few. Blackberry. All work in this country all are natural. Autumn, boiled wheat or barley.
